FAT COLOR WINS…CREATE…LAYERS…NO FEAR…HAVING
FUN?...COLLAGE COLLAGE… TIME … FOR… REJECTS…
THICK PAINT…BUILD UP…
NO RULES EXCEPT…COMPOSITION OVER DETAIL…TEXTURE…EDIT…
FORGET PATIENCE…LINE…RHYTHM HAPPENS…OR NOT…
SUSPENSE…NO MERCY… ADD…TAKE…IN NEED OF HAPPY ACCIDENTS…
IT’S GROWING ON ME…
NOTHING TO LOSE…
EVER.

All of that and more sooner or later happens usually, in random order, when I am about to cross paths with a blank canvas or an unspoiled sheet of paper. Every piece in the making is a welcome surprise, always, thanks to no specific order of above companions in creativity, unique and unforeseeable because of that.

Some surprises last, others end as scraps, no mercy, finding their second-hand way into new pieces, that not seldom owe their final success to the rejects. Color rules, first, nothing beats color; loads of paint set the stage, and then lines, boundaries, ideas join, make their adventurous journey into a messy thick chaos, eventually there will be time for pruning, once in a while.

When unruly is not a good thing anymore, it’s time to retain the precious and leave out the unnecessary; if not working, I have no hesitation in abandoning and changing everything.

Curiosity beats respect, nothing is too precious.
