August 2016 – Hot Hot: A juried show of Washington area artists
August 3 – 28, 2016
Opening reception: Saturday, August 6, 5 – 8:00 p.m.
The Foundry’s August show features work by some of the area’s most talented artists. The exhibit is deliberately eclectic: from Martin Swift’s provocative chiaroscuro to William Ferris’s luminous spirituality. We see Shealyn Jae’s performance-art photography, the exuberant expressionism of Joanne Mazarella and Brian Truesdale, Rebecca Hurt’s Think of Me Fondly, and – in the Hot Hot tradition of having a great dog painting in each show – Gayle Berens’ Do You Really Have to Leave?
It’s a little bit of cool in the hot Washington summer.
