Heather Jacks is an award-winning photographer who currently lives in Maryland. From early photo trips with her Father as a child to her first darkroom class in college, photography has been a life long passion. Heather has lived around the world including Okinawa, Japan and Sicily, Italy.
She works in both traditional and digital techniques often combining early photographic processes with the use of digital negatives in the darkroom. Techniques such as infrared photography, hand applied emulsions, photographic transfers and photopolymer gravure are a few of the techniques Heather practices.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, and is held in numerous private collections. Heather works with the fine art publishers CAP and Winn Devon, and is a member of the Maryland Federation of Art and the Foundry Gallery.
