Earth Flowing Plane
New Oil Paintings by Edward Bear Miller
About the Exhibit
Edward Bear Miller is a homegrown Washington talent who renders earthy, soulful oil paintings based on his immediate experience of the local landscape and its inhabitants. Feet planted in the tradition of plen-air realism, Miller infuses his Rock Creek and Potomac River paintings with the mystical enrgies that inflamed the work of Dove, Carr, Hartley, Marin, and Bischoff. His vision yields thick, flowing brushwork transmitting a rich, figurative and emotional world onto the picture plane.
