Intimate art gallery with industrial-chic style

Surround your guests with original contemporary art! Add color and creativity to birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, networking events, small concerts, rehearsal dinners and intimate weddings.

Foundry’s gallery space is in the Atlantic Plumbing Building at 2118-8th Street, NW, between U and V Streets, NW, in Washington, DC. The gallery is situated on the street level of a new building designed by noted architect Morris Adjmi. The location is three blocks from the U Street Metro Station on the Green and Yellow lines. On-street parking is available in front of the building and on nearby streets, and a parking lot ($10/day) is at the corner of 8th Street and Barry Place.

The space is made up of two galleries, each about 350 square feet, connecting through a large archway. The floors are polished concrete and exposed pipes and ducts adorn the ceiling. The space also includes free wi-fi, restroom and coat closet.

The gallery space can accommodate about 60 people standing, or 25-35 people seated at round tables, or 50 people both seated and standing.

Catering

The arrangements shown in the photos were created by Main Event Caterers.  Foundry welcomes Main Event Caterers or your personal choice of catering companies. Our food prep area includes a refrigerator, sink, and food prep table. A limited number of the gallery’s banquet tables and folding chairs are available for use. We suggest a visit prior to making final arrangements. Your caterer will need to bring additional tables, chairs and other equipment as needed for your event.

A member of our gallery will be on the premises during your entire rental period to assist you and to answer questions about the artwork.

The promotion or sale of products or merchandise may not be the primary purpose of the event. Sales of merchandise are allowed only when incidental to the primary purpose of the event. For example, sale of T-shirts commemorating the event or sale of CDs by the entertainer are permitted.
