Bio

Tasha Fay is an Oklahoman artist living in Washington, DC. She grew up on the high plans of the Oklahoma Panhandle and spent her summers with her grandmother in Arizona. Both landscapes have followed Tasha throughout her life including when she lived in Amman, Jordan, for two years, one of which was on a Fulbright scholarship, and after moving to Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International and Area Studies and a Masters in Legal Studies in Indigenous Peoples Law from the University of Oklahoma. She continues to hold international and indigenous affairs closely. Messages of conservation and respect of the land and other living creators can be seen throughout her artwork.

Artist Statement

As an artist, I combine the edge of modern graphics and the emotion of black and white paintings with the everyday wonders of our natural world. With a focus on conservation, my artwork is designed to inspire the viewer to connect with nature by exploring its wonders. It is designed to be simplistic yet emotional. It shows the might of nature while providing peace in knowing our place in it.
