My work explores moods, memories, and emotional relationships between people and their environments focusing on the moments of connection and disconnection. I use dynamic gestures to capture true experiences that invite an embodied response from the viewer. Settings and landscapes are integral to the work, as light, shadows, and vanishing points are not simply backdrops but active elements that shape the emotional atmosphere. I am drawn to the ephemeral actions and intimate moments, fleeting encounters that linger in the memory and evoke feelings, which maybe were once real and sometimes only imagined. Through color, light, shapes, and composition are set to communicate tension and connection. I keep the temperature of my palette high while I strive to evoke a sense of yearning and melancholy which are found in the warm light of summer evenings in the south.
